Starting a business could be very challenging and frightening to so many people for many reasons. We all get excited when we are presented with the opportunity and all the money that can be made. However, the biggest fear that I have noticed in so many people especially people interested in joining the direct sales industry is "How do I find Customers".How Do I Find Customers?
Being an Avon Representative and a freelance makeup artist, I am going to suggest what some other Avon representatives and myself have tried as far as getting new customers. You can always apply them to your business.
- Share with everyone everywhere an Avon brochure
- Ask for referrals and ask others to share your brochures and materials
- Call others about their ads, tell them that you are going to share their ads while you are out there working your business and ask them if they can do the same for you.
- Post flyers anywhere (apartment, laundromats)
- Set up your Avon website and send a grand opening email to let all your contacts know that your e-store is ready for business
- Advertise on your social media ; post Avon related contents along with your website link
- Leave catalogs with your information in places such as repair shops, beauty shops, doctor's office
- Set up a table at a career fair
- Wear a button or name tag especially for people who are shy
- Fundraising
- Let your bank know what your deposit is from
- Leave a catalog to the teller or banker who is depositing your money
- Hang a brochure or flyer in a public bathroom using the literature bag and add a sticker saying please take me home
- Leave a brochure at your neighbor's home with a 10% discount
- Tailgating
- Wear the products (jewelry, clothes, shoes, skin care....) this is a great way to open up conversation when people give you a compliment.
- Always have a notepad to take prospects contact information
- Find a hostess to host an Avon party
- Take advantage of the Facebook live and make live video showing your products or talking about the opportunity
- Keep your Avon business page current with always new information to engage your audience
- Practice the power of 3 or 5
- Set up a display at the mall, flea market
- Advertise in your church bulletin
- Call nursing homes and see whether or not they already have an Avon lady
